In this blog, we are going to share some of our favourites for this year, to give you some inspiration and ideas for where you might like to take your little ones for some extra exploring. Keep reading for our collated list of fabulous, free activities for kids in Melbourne this winter.

Making Art: Imagine Everything is Real

21st June – 9th October 2022

Location: National Gallery of Victoria

Cost: Free

Making Art: Imagine Everything is Real is an exhibition open to people of any age, that invites children and their families to experiment with innovative ways of making their own works of art. It’s a brilliant ‘yes space’ where children can manipulate the environment in four distinct activity areas to reflect their creative vision. Audiences can explore multiple mediums, such as large-scale sculptures, paper collage, poetry and drawing.

Parents of children with sensory challenges will appreciate the exclusive relaxed sessions on offer, which give people the opportunity to enjoy a quieter gallery experience with fewer people and reduced sensory stimuli, to prevent overstimulation and make the environment less overwhelming.
