Hello Families,
This week brought a real taste of winter with those frosty mornings, but that didn’t cool down our spirits! We kept the energy high and had a blast throughout the week.
A huge thank you to all our amazing families and staff who helped make the Biggest Morning Tea such a success. It’s truly inspiring to see what we can achieve when we come together for a great cause. Your generosity and support mean the world!
Exciting news…
We are excited to invite you to our Kindergarten Information Evening – a chance to learn more about our Kinder program and how we support a smooth and positive start to school life for your children. Please join us in the Kinder Room on Wednesday, 28th May, 6.00 pm – 7.30 pm. Light refreshments will be served so please RSVP by Monday, 26th May so we can cater accordingly.
Family Room Suggestion Box…
At Choklits, we are always striving to grow and improve in everything we do and we truly value your input. To facilitate this, a suggestion box has been placed in our Family Room (previously known as the paint room) for you to add your feedback and suggestions (anonymously should you wish). Your voice plays a vital role in shaping our future.
Stop, Look, Listen, Think…
Our planned road safety incursion needed to be rescheduled and will now go ahead on Friday, 6th June. We look forward to helping children build essential pedestrian skills through hands-on learning.
Highlights from the week…
This week, the Choklits children were out and about exploring our wonderful community!
Our kinder children had a fantastic time discovering the sights, sounds, and beautiful autumn colours all around us. It was heartwarming to see so many smiling faces as they connected with the world beyond our centre.
Our Kinder 3 children went on their very first excursion to the local library and nearby playground! It was an exciting opportunity for them to learn how the library works and understand the importance of caring for books. Their enthusiasm was contagious!
Meanwhile, our Kinder 4 children visited Proclamation Park as part of their preparation for Bush Kinder. They had a great time playing together, exploring nature, and practising their road safety skills. It’s wonderful to see how ready and confident they are for their upcoming adventures. We’re so proud of all our little explorers!
Adding to the excitement, we proudly joined in the National Simultaneous Storytime (NSS), a nationwide event hosted annually by the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA). Now in its 25th year, NSS promotes the joy of reading and the importance of literacy through the shared reading of a picture book by an Australian author and illustrator.
This year’s book, “The Truck Cat,” brought lots of fun and imagination to our day! It was heartwarming to see all our rooms getting involved, Nursery and Pre-Toddler rooms came together, and our Toddlers joined the Kinder children to share in the joy of storytelling.
What a wonderful week of learning, exploring, and connecting, we’re so proud of all our Choklits children!
Educator spotlight…
We’d love to give a huge shout-out to our amazing Elly in the Toddler Room! Elly brings such warmth, positivity, and joy to Choklits every single day. Her cheerful smile and willingness to jump in and help wherever needed make her an absolute treasure in our community.
Elly is incredibly dedicated to the children, she’s always coming up with fun, creative activities that keep them engaged, laughing, and learning. Her genuine care and connection with the toddlers shine through in everything she does.
We’re especially proud of Elly’s commitment to her own growth. While juggling her work with us, she’s also working hard to complete her Diploma in Early Childhood Education, a true example of the Choklits pillars of consistency and growth in action.
Keep shining, Elly, we’re so lucky to have you on our team!
