Highlights from This Week

Nursery: Our little adventurers had an absolute blast in the kitchen as they created their own delicious pancakes to celebrate Pancake Day! It was a fun, hands-on experience that brought plenty of giggles and smiles. To add even more excitement to the week, the children enjoyed a sensory-packed bubble popping session that sparked their curiosity and delighted their senses.

Pre-Toddlers: The Pre-Toddlers were introduced to the enchanting world of the Very Hungry Caterpillar experience! They got a close-up look at their very own Chrysalis, and will be observing it every day, eagerly waiting to see the magical transformation unfold before their eyes.

Toddlers: Our Toddlers dove into an exciting gardening adventure with Rohan, learning all the essential tips to nurture healthy herbs and vegetables. The little green thumbs worked hard, making sure our plants thrive! The Toddlers are also buzzing with excitement about their own chrysalises and are diving deep into the fascinating life cycle of butterflies.

Kinder 3: The magic of the Very Hungry Caterpillar came alive in Kinder 3! The children kicked off their week by welcoming their class pupa, which is preparing for its big transformation into a stunning butterfly. The children were captivated by the changes the pupa will undergo and cannot wait to learn more. The story inspired some lively discussions about how caterpillars change into butterflies, and the children expressed their creativity by making playdough caterpillars! It was an excellent opportunity for them to practice fine motor skills while learning about the butterfly’s life cycle.

Kinder 4: What an exciting week for Kinder 4! The children were captivated by a timelapse video of a Monarch butterfly’s life cycle and learned new words like “chrysalis” and “pupa.” They had a blast discussing cocoons vs. pupas. The fun continued at the library, where Bethany introduced them to Sam the library bear! The kids had a great time searching for Sam, and he even helped scan their new books, making the visit extra special!Inspired by a butterfly video, the children explored the bushes near the playground, discovering spiders, barrel ants, and various plants. They took photos and discussed the difference between healthy (green) and dead (brown) plants. Inside, they used their creativity to make paper caterpillars, carefully cutting, gluing, and rolling the paper to develop their fine motor skills.

In addition, we’re excited to announce that we’ve started Yoga with Tanaya, happening every Thursday! Tanaya will guide the children through different yoga exercises, promoting physical development and overall well-being. It’s a perfect way to help the children focus, stretch, and grow!

Educator Spotlight …

Sukh, our amazing Toddlers Room Leader, has demonstrated incredible dedication and passion over the past few weeks, and it’s shining through in the wonderful transformation of the Toddlers Room! One standout example is the inviting learning area she created, where the children can explore the life cycle of a butterfly, color recognition, and the days of the week. A huge shoutout to DJ and the entire team for their support and hard work in making this all come to life!
