Dear Families,
We hope everyone has had an amazing week!
Highlights from the week…
We are thrilled to see how well our new programs and educator-led incursions have been received by the children and educators alike. The interactions between children and educators have been incredibly positive, fostering meaningful learning experiences through hands-on engagement. For example, during a recent yoga session led by Tanaya, the children embraced mindfulness and movement, showing excitement as they practiced different poses alongside their peers.
We are also looking forward to seeing Asten create some wonderful messy play experiences for all our age groups this coming Tuesday. It will be her first visit to the centre so look out for the exciting things your children will participate in.
These initiatives, designed and led by our passionate educators, are enhancing the overall learning experience, and we can’t wait to continue sharing their impact. Be sure to follow our Kinder M8 app and social media channels for regular updates and photos of these enriching experiences!
Little Sports Heroes are back in full swing, bringing their energising new sports plans to our service! The children thoroughly enjoyed last week’s session, engaging them in dynamic activities that promote teamwork, coordination, and a love for movement. Fridays have quickly become a favourite day for many, with children eagerly participating and building their confidence through fun and structured sports activities. If you’d like your child to be part of this fantastic program, let us know and we’d be happy to book them in for a casual day! Be sure to check our Kinder M8 app and social media for updates and snapshots of all the action.
We have been excited to have Gabe and the Music team back this week, bringing energy and joy to our different age groups through engaging musical experiences. This week, we have already seen some fantastic sessions our children actively participated in, clapping, singing, and moving to the rhythm with enthusiasm. The focus for this week’s program was on space and the interesting things we can find in space. We learnt about rocket ships and stars that we can see in the night sky. We are looking forward to what the team focuses on next week!
Each of these activities supports the development of different skills and interests, from physical coordination and creativity to language and cultural exploration. Our weeks are packed full of enriching, fun, and engaging experiences that keep our little learners active and inspired!
This Valentine’s Day, our children have been engaged in a range of heartwarming experiences designed to foster connection, creativity, and kindness.
- Our Nursery children explored sensory heart play, enjoying different textures and colours and also creating their own feet painting experience.
- The Toddlers created a beautiful love and kindness collage, celebrating friendship through art and stories.
- In Pre-Kinder, Children have created their own Valentines weather craft that includes heart shaped raindrops, sharing messages of love and appreciation.
- The Kinder 3 children have made a paper heart craft experience to display on a wall in their room to show how our kindness shows throughout our own identity
- Our Kinder 4 children took their creativity even further by creating their own Valentines cards and writing heartfelt messages for friends and family.
It has been a wonderful week filled with joy, laughter, and meaningful interactions. Keep an eye on Kinder M8 and our socials for photos of these special moments!
Ramsay Psychology Parent Information Session…
We are also happy to invite you to our Ramsay Psychology Information session for parents. This will be held on the 25th of February from 4:00pm to 5:00pm. This session will be a great opportunity for parents to come to learn more about your child’s psychological development through their early years. We will have a liaison from Ramsay Psychology – Trish Thomas to answer any questions you have regarding children’s psychological development. This will be a great opportunity to learn more about your children’s little brains. If you have any questions leading up to this session please send them through to the [email protected] inbox!
Learning Initiative: (Choklits Sustainability Development Research Goals)…
Focusing on our contributions to our community and environment, we are developing a new Choklits research program. We are excited to offer you, the parents, an opportunity to get involved in how your children learn, reflect and play through this research initiative. Our team at Choklits will be focusing on some key areas of global sustainability and development to identify ways that we can contribute to our community and make a difference in the world.
We have already received responses from our families and we hope to have many more! Once we have closed the voting in the last week of February, we will announce our first focus area for the month of March in our Friday Update. We would like you to get involved by sending through your suggestions and ideas about how we can extend our learning to reach our research goals.
Each room leader will be implementing different activities, experiences and events into their programs to allow all children an opportunity to contribute to our focus area.
The room leaders have cleared a space on our hallway displays for educators and children to add their contributions throughout the month. Artwork, project work, questions and photos will be posted on this board for everyone to see the amazing contributions we will make
Please vote for one of the three options below. You can do this by simply emailing [email protected] with your choice. We look forward to seeing what the most popular choice is!
We hope that everyone can get involved in this great initiative!!
- Good health and Wellbeing
- Clean water and Sanitation
- Affordable and Clean energy
Educator Spotlight…
Educator Spotlight shines on our dedicated educator, Tracey. Tracey has only recently joined our Choklits team and has already formed amazing relationships with children and families. Tracey has brought a calming, nurturing energy that impacts the children’s ability to learn in a positive light. She has been resilient and flexible when it comes to helping out her fellow educators. When required to help out others, she is more than willing to put in the extra effort. Tracey shines bright in whatever room she works in and the children love the experiences she has set for the rooms. We look forward to what else she can bring to the team in the near future. We want to congratulate her on the great start to Choklits this year!
Educator Updates:
We have a new educator that will be starting on Monday next week in our Pre-Kinder Room.
Angie is a dedicated and enthusiastic educator that is ready to start her Choklits journey with us this year. Angie has completed her Bachelor in Early Childhood Education and Care. We can’t wait to see what she will bring to the educational team here at Choklits!
If you are yet to meet our wonderful new educators, please take some time to stop and say hi!
