We provide early education and care for children from 6 weeks to 6 years, and implement a dynamic play-based learning approach to foster curiosity. We pride ourselves on partnering with parents and carers to help prepare your child for their future by enhancing their learning and development through developing meaningful relationships and a strong sense of community and belonging.
The purpose-built rooms, natural light and open plan layout give our Surrey Hills Kindergarten a welcoming and connected feel. Outside, the children enjoy the sandpit, water play areas, climbing equipment, vegetable garden, slides and ball games.

Our huge backyard and outside areas incorporate dedicated play areas and equipment, vegetable gardens where the children grow their own crops as part of our ‘Plant to Plate’ program, a separate nursery play yard for our babies and kindergarten specific areas for big item creative play.
It’s our aim at Choklits to help each child develop a spirit of independence appropriate to their age and capabilities, and encourage curiosity about life. We assist children to develop high self-esteem and to learn how to initiate their own forms of learning. Janine is well known for providing practical support, information and assistance to parents on childhood development and aims to build mutual trust between everyone in the Choklits community which includes our children, team members, families and all those who visit Choklits.
In addition to the basic standard curriculum that every Child Care Centre must provide, we also include many additional incursions and excursion experiences. With age tailored sports programs, music lessons, a library excursion for our kindergarten children and yoga tuition all delivered every week, and many more incursions and excursions throughout the year you can be sure all our early learners have fun as they begin their first stages of formal education and development.
