Do you have a professional skill set or corporate background but are really looking for a career that is truly all about children and family? We are looking for someone professionally minded, warm and friendly with a genuine sense of hospitality to greet parents and children at Choklits, and to manage the client experience. Each day you will work from our reception area, alongside management, and play a critical role in our family’s lives. You will be involved in all the inner workings of a busy and successful child care service and be responsible for ensuring families look forward to coming to Choklits.

Our service allows our team to form strong relationships with children and parents and truly partner with them to ensure their education and care is specific and individualised. This can be much harder to achieve in larger commercially minded organisations. 

About the role:

We are building a community so you will be working as Concierge, alongside management to facilitate each family’s experience. Your key duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Meeting and greeting parents and families
  • General administration office duties such as monitoring emails and managing inbound enquiries
  • Provide administrative support to educators and the management team
  • Database and client management

About you:

We value integrity, you need to be reliable and trust is essential. To be successful in this role, you will ideally demonstrate:

  • A high level of initiative, organisation and time management skills
  • Professional communication both written and verbal
  • Ability to prioritise and respond to both new enquiries and families needs
  • Have an energetic and enthusiastic personality, and be looking for diversity in a role
  • Be a team player who has the ability to see the bigger picture
  • Corporate, professional presentation
  • Ideally, have experience in Xplor and ChildCare Management Systems,
  • Have previous experience in a similar administration and communications role, for at least 2 years practising in a professional environment.
  • Experience in preparing expense reports and managing spreadsheets
  • Scheduling meetings and events for employees and visitors
  • Managing front-end communication with visitors and parents
  • Organising internal business operations
  • Managing and coordinating internal communications

Please note; a basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace is required. And, you must hold (or be willing to obtain) a Work With Children’s certificate to apply for this role.
