Want to put yourself to the test, challenge yourself to make a difference and support those shaping our next generation? Come be part of the future, today!

Do you dream of a role that’s not just a job, but more of an adventure? Buckle up, because Choklits is here to challenge your expectations and redefine what it means to work in child care!

We’re not your typical child care centres; we’re a group of innovative thinkers and committed lifelong learners. We’re on a mission to do things a bit differently (and better) than the rest, and we’re looking for a passionate Educator to help share our message.

About Us

We are an all-inclusive child care and early learning organisation operating in multiple locations across Melbourne’s East. We believe childhood is much more than the first stage of life; it’s the most important. When children come to Choklits, they get to learn through play, make new friends, develop skills and habits that will become their advantage in life, and they get to have fun. Our dedicated team of 140+ work tirelessly to ensure that every child and family has a meaningful early education experience.

About the Role

As a Room Leader at Choklits, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive and enriching learning environment for children aged 0-5. Your responsibilities will include leading the planning and implementing the educational programs, promoting the health and safety of both children and our team, building positive relationships with all stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. You will also contribute to the continuous improvement of our service and actively support children’s agency, choices, and influence in the program.

If you’d been with us for the past month, here’s a peek at some of the things you would have been involved in:

  • Team Player: taught our educational program alongside fellow Choklits Team Members and ensured you kept things fun.
  • Safety Hero: made sure everyone, big and small, stayed safe and happy.
  • Friend Maker: became close friends with the Choklits children and their families.
  • Thinker: always looked for ways to do things better.
  • Planning Pro: worked on cool ways to teach and help children learn.
  • Child Supporter: helped children make better choices.
  • Learning Leader: tried new ways to teach and learn.
  • Team Mate: worked closely with pals at Choklits to make things great.
  • List Keeper: wrote down important things to remember.

Qualifications and Experience Required
Relevant qualifications in accordance with Education and Care Services National Regulations.

  • Diploma of Children’s Services or Cert 111 or equivalent
  • Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) card.
  • Medical clearance.
  • First aid training as prescribed in the Education and Care Services National Law Act.

Measurements of Success

You have succeeded in this role when you:

  1. Assist with the design and implementation of effective education programs.
  2. Ensured the health and safety of all children and staff.
  3. Fostered positive relationships with all stakeholders.
  4. Maintained compliance with regulations and standards.
  5. Delivered exceptional family experiences.

Why Choose Us

At Choklits, we value the importance of nurturing and education for both children and our team. We are a progressive, innovative, and growing organisation that invests in its employees’ growth and development.
