Child Care Tour Checklist
There’s lots to learn and many things to check when visiting a child care centre for the first time. We’ve included a downloadable checklist and guide below to help you through the process. It’s purposely very plain without any branding so you can use the checklist anywhere you tour and easily compare centres.
Although checklists are necessary and help cover the basics, your final decision should be based our your own feeling and a simple question- are you completely comfortable leaving your child at the centre?

Choklits has over 100 Educators, Teachers and Leaders who dedicate their carers to educating and supporting our next generation in their early years. Ahead of your upcoming tour, you can start to get to know them here.
Feel free to ask one of us any questions you have, there’s even multiple generations who work at Choklits so we’ve all got plenty to share.
Children's Books
When you come to visit us at Choklits be sure to ask us about Junie, Ned, Merinda and Chan Ming, the Chokliteers! For each of the past 5 years our team has written and published a Children’s book based on the Chokliteers Adventures. They’ve been to space, overcome the challenges of maintaining a vegetable garden and even been to visit Chesterfield Farm (who now sell our books!).
You’ll find more about the books at choklits.com.au/chokliteers, we may even be able to arrange a copy for you when you come to visit us.
Next Steps
Places at Choklits are limited so we only offer them to families who have registered, a general enquiry or booking a service tour doesn’t secure your place. The number of families who’ve registered varies from time to time. We offer places to families according to the date they registered which can be done up to two years in advance, or up to three years by special request.
The fee to register is $58 per child (non-refundable) so please head to our Registration Form here if you wish to secure your place ASAP.
