Highlights from the week…
On Monday, our Choklits Active session with Emily was a fantastic success, the children absolutely loved it! This exciting session was not only a warm welcome for Emily but also the perfect way to reintroduce the program to our centre. With lots of energy, laughter, and movement, Emily took the opportunity to get to know the children and observe their current skills and interests. This valuable insight will help shape fun, dynamic, and tailored experiences in the weeks to come, and we can’t wait to see what’s next!
Music and Rhythms with Tom has been an alphabet adventure full of fun and learning! This week, Tom and the children have been singing their way through the alphabet, exploring songs for every letter. This week’s highlights included two much-loved classics: “Five Green and Speckled Frogs” and “Baby Bumblebee”. These catchy tunes are perfect for singing along at home, helping to extend the learning and fun beyond Choklits, so feel free to stream them and join in.
We had a week full of birthday cheer at Choklits, celebrating many of our children’s special days!To mark the occasions, the children teamed up with our wonderful chef, Jordan, to bake delicious cupcakes — and with so many birthdays, Jordan was certainly kept busy! These joyful cooking experiences are more than just tasty fun; they offer valuable opportunities for children to explore early mathematical concepts, build self-help skills, and even discover a growing passion for cooking.
Messy Play with Asten was as fantastic as ever this week! The theme focused on food, colours, textures, and of course, lots of fun. The highlight of the session was the beautifully arranged high tea setup, which was simply gorgeous and sparked so much excitement and imaginative play among the children. It was a sensory-rich experience that combined creativity, exploration, and joyful messiness!
Practicing our emergency evacuation procedures regularly is important for our community’s safety so that we know what to do should we face an emergency. We had an emergency drill and the children and staff were calm as they made their way to the evacuation assembly. It is said “practice makes perfect”.
Undoubtedly, the most important event of the week was celebrating all our amazing, one-of-a-kind mums! Thank you for joining us, it was such a joy to welcome you and honour everything you do. What a beautiful way to wrap up a memorable week! The children’s smiles, giggles, and pure happiness at having you here were absolutely heartwarming.
Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at Choklits, you are truly out of this world!

A special shoutout to Sukh, who went above and beyond this week to host a truly beautiful Mother’s Day celebration in her room.
It was a joy to witness her passion, dedication, and heartfelt commitment to her role, the children, and our families. The love and effort she poured into the event were evident in every detail.

Nine years ago, Matt and Jade took over Choklits, and what an incredible journey it has been! Since then, they’ve expanded their vision, growing Choklits into a successful and thriving childcare business with three centres and a dedicated team of over 120 employees. Their passion, leadership, and commitment to high-quality early education and care continue to shape a warm and inspiring environment for children, families, and staff alike.
