Hello Families,
We hope that everyone has had an amazing week
Highlights from the week…
What an incredible week it has been at Choklits as we celebrated Cultural Diversity Week! This was a special opportunity for our educators, children, and families to come together and learn about the rich cultures that make up our community. Through stories, food, music, and traditions, we embraced the beauty of diversity and inclusivity.
Persian New Year…
We welcomed the arrival of Nowruz, the Persian New Year, with joy and excitement! The children learned about the Haft-Seen table, a beautiful display of symbolic items representing renewal and prosperity. They also enjoyed making colourful paper tulips and goldfish crafts, symbolizing rebirth and good luck for the new year. It was a wonderful way to appreciate Persian traditions and the importance of new beginnings.
Harmony Day…
On Harmony Day, we celebrated the message that “Everyone Belongs” by wearing orange and engaging in activities that highlight unity, respect, and acceptance. The children shared stories about their backgrounds and created handprint collages to symbolize togetherness. It was heartwarming to see everyone embracing the values of inclusion and friendship!
Asten’s Messy Play…
This week Asten brought along some amazing new experiences for the children to investigate. This month’s theme was centred around transportation with setups including a mud pit for trucks and a car wash station for children to experiment with different soaps. We look forward to what Asten will set up next month! For more information on the benefits of these experiences, check out our blog here.

Educator spotlight…
Educator Spotlight shines on our dedicated educator, Teresa.
Teresa is one of Choklits’ newest educators. Even though Teresa is a new educator she has shown how passionate and dedicated she is to teaching children and bringing joy to their lives through play. She has fit in so well to our Choklits family. Teresa’s personal philosophy for learning is evident in everything she does in the classroom. We feel that there is a lot to learn from others and we can’t wait to see how Teresa continues to grow as a part of our Choklits Team!
