Hello families,
We’ve had another exciting and adventure-filled week at Choklits! From outdoor explorations to hands-on learning, it’s been wonderful to see the children engaging with their surroundings and embracing new experiences.
Excursions…
This week, we enjoyed getting out and about with our exciting excursions with a couple more planned in the near future. Keep an eye out on our socials to get a sneak peak at what we have coming up
Bluebell Hill Reserve…
The children loved exploring nature, spotting wildlife, and soaking in the fresh air. We discussed the importance of looking after our environment and respecting the natural world.
Walk Around the Block…
Sometimes, the best adventures are right outside our doorstep! Our local walk gave the children a chance to observe their community, talk about road safety, and enjoy some movement in the fresh air. We also collected some natural resources to use for art and craft. These were used as great opportunities for children to engage in the ‘Nature Play Week’.
Nature Play Week (April 2nd – 11th)…
Our Nature Play Week has been an incredible opportunity for children to connect with the outdoors, use their imagination, and engage in hands-on sensory experiences. From mud kitchens and stick building to leaf art and water play, the benefits of outdoor learning have been on full display. We look forward to finishing this special week with even more exciting nature-based activities! To see some of our amazing activities, click here
ANZAC Day…
As we move through April, we will also take time to reflect on ANZAC Day. The children will engage in activities to learn about the significance of this day, including making poppies, reading stories, and discussing themes of remembrance and gratitude in an age-appropriate way.
Bush Kinder…
Our Kinder children headed out for another inspiring Bush Kinder session. Surrounded by nature, they explored, investigated, and connected with the environment, strengthening their sense of responsibility and belonging. Bush Kinder supports and encourages children to care for the land, learn through hands-on experiences, and build confidence in natural spaces. Sustainable Development Research Initiative…
We are now in April. That means it is the exciting part of the month where we are able to reflect on what we have learned. Our March Research Goal (Good health and wellbeing) has allowed us an opportunity to focus on some key areas of our environment and ourselves that improves our overall scope of health. The key areas we have been focusing on are Physical, Social, Mental health as well as hygiene practices. We have captured all our learning and displayed it on our hallway wall to show how we have contributed to make positive changes in our health and wellbeing.

- Cultural Celebrations (Holi, Persian New Year, Harmony Day, Mandarin Classes)
- Teaching Children the importance of cleanliness and the effects of bacteria build up
- Weekly Excursions getting out and about
- Ramsay Psychology Parent information session
As March has closed, voting for our next month’s Research Goal has now closed.
We would like to announce our Research goal for April is:

Educator spotlight…
This week, we’re shining the spotlight on Sue, our Kinder 4 Teacher.
