Hello Families,

This week brought more warm weather, so we made the most of it with lots of water play to keep the children cool. One of the highlights was a frozen activity, where the children had to free animals trapped in ice blocks. It was a fantastic way to work on fine motor skills while staying cool.

As always, we had our usual incursions, and this week’s highlights included Yoga with Tanaya. The children really enjoyed practicing deep breathing and trying out different fun yoga poses. It’s not only a great way to enhance emotional regulation, but also fantastic for motor skills, balance, and coordination.

We also had a super fun Sports Activate session with Parth and Jesse, where the children played an exciting game of Velcro catch. It was a great opportunity to develop their gross motor skills, and the kids had a blast trying to catch the Velcro balls. Lots of laughter filled the yard, making it one of the week’s favourites.

To wrap up the week, we celebrated Valentine’s Day with a love filled day of activities. The children enjoyed making arts and crafts, talking about who they love and why (check out the adorable video of our interviews with the children on our socials!), and even making some fun treats. It was the perfect way to end another busy week.

Educator Spotlight…

Paris has made an incredible transition from our Nursery to Pre Kinder room this year, and she’s already had a phenomenal start. As the Pre Kinder Room Leader, Paris has truly shone with her leadership skills, creating a warm and inclusive atmosphere that promotes fun and respect among both the educators and the children. She has been working closely with her team to ensure that everyone feels supported and valued, fostering a collaborative environment where all ideas and contributions are welcomed. 

One of the standout features of the Pre Kinder room this year has been the abundance of arts and crafts projects, which you can already see proudly displayed in the hallways and on the walls of the room. Paris’s dedication to providing engaging and meaningful experiences for the children is evident in the vibrant, child centred space she has helped create.

We couldn’t be prouder of all that Paris has already accomplished in her role as Pre Kinder Room Leader. Her enthusiasm, hard work, and commitment is truly inspiring, and we are so excited to see what the rest of the year will bring.

Reminders…

We have Bush Kinder this coming Monday for our Kinder 4s. Please remember to pack a change of clothes and ensure your child has appropriate closed toed shoes for the day.

Just a reminder to pack extra changes of clothes for your child, as we continue with plenty of water play in the warm weather.
