Hello Families,
It’s been an incredible week at the service! We’ve had a blast with fun activities, memorable events, and plenty of learning along the way.
On Monday, our Kinder 4’s were thrilled to participate in a hands-on science incursion with Lauren and Isabelle. The children created “walking rainbows,” exploring how colours can blend and move, giving them a deeper understanding of how science can be both fun and fascinating.
Tuesday, the Kinder 4’s headed out on another Bush Kinder adventure, where they were able to explore the local reserve. It was a beautiful day, and the children immersed themselves in the outdoors, discovering the natural world while learning about its wonders. It was an enriching experience that not only connected them to nature but also helped develop their physical skills through running, climbing, and exploring.
Also on Tuesday, we celebrated Pancake Day! The children enjoyed pancakes for afternoon tea, which were a huge hit. We also incorporated a variety of pancake themed activities throughout the day. The children loved getting creative with their pancake art, making playdough pancakes and getting messy with a sensory pancake station.
On Wednesday, Asten transformed the service into a Messy Play wonderland. This week’s theme was all about cars, and the children had an absolute blast. We set up a car wash station where they could scrub toy cars clean, followed by messy car stations with different materials to explore. To top it all off, we created a paint slide, allowing the children to slide cars down while covered in colourful paint. As always, it was a huge hit and a fantastic way to get messy and creative!
On Thursday, we took a moment to celebrate International Women’s Day with a special morning tea for our staff. It was a lovely time to reflect and honor the incredible women who inspire and support us daily. We celebrated the achievements of the incredible women at our service and made sure to let them know how appreciated they are.
